[Ucol-shareholders] warranty on communal appliances

The other day remembered something I saw on tv years ago. Is it still true? Don't know.

A motel bought a washing machine at somewhere like noel leemings. Used it for sheets etc. washer broke down and they were told warranty didn't apply as the machine wasn't intended for commercial use.

Maybe worth checking when we buy for the laundry or kitchen whether this use will be covered by warranty.
