Hi All,
Just letting you know that I won’t be attending UCOL meetings until either
· COVID-19 is kept ‘under control’ i.e. at Alert Level 1 or lower (we will know this within a week or so).
Or
· An effective vaccine has been developed, and I’ve received it (could be 3 to 15 months away).
Or
· COVID-19 runs its course and a level of community/national herd immunity has been established (the worst case scenario – 90% of us contract the virus).
While my health is generally good I do have a respiratory injury which makes my survival of a bout of coronavirus questionable to say the least.
As I intend to live longer and get more done, I’m self-isolating in an attempt to avoid the virus.
So, no more meetings for me. For now.
I’m not an expert on video conferencing but I would like to participate in this way if that is possible.
So very happy to help out trialling systems to see if this could work for us.
(Doesn’t the room at Dept of Sustainability have a video camera? I think I recall seeing one there.)
