Hi all & heads up to Alex.
Just received this message for my broadband installation. It seems that Chorus needs neighbourhood consent to connect up the Fibre through shared access areas.

They may choose to contact UCOL,  since the site is still held by the company. Just a heads up...

Regards
Min

Consent required

Hi there,

Your local fibre installer (they are the company which does the physical install of the fibre) has notified us that before they can begin laying fibre at the property, they require consent from some other property owners. Typically this is because your property is down a shared drive way/right-of-way or because you’re part of a multiple-unit dwelling.

The installer will work to contact these parties to get consent—there’s no action required on your part. They’ll do this as quickly as possible, but depending on how promptly they can get responses, this process could take several weeks.

Hang tight, the fibre installer will be working away to get all the paperwork done as fast as they can.

Privacy rules around who has given consent and who hasn’t make it difficult for us to give detailed progress reports but we’ll pass on any updates we receive.

As always, you can also check out My Orcon for extra detail and the latest updates.

Cheers,
The team @ Orcon
