Phone system
I propose to have a common (landline) phone system for those who want to subscribe. It would cost ~ $5 per month for an extenstion line, and ~ $10 per month for a line with an external number. You would be able to move your current landline number to this system.
Those prices would include a reasonable amount of call time to
landlines, cellphones and common international destinations.
You would need a SIP phone to access it (I have a bunch of them
to lend), or a small converter box to plug in a regular phone. Or
you can plug your phone into the ONTs that are installed in your
unit, but that entails an extra chorus charge of $5+GST per month
on top of the above prices. I am happy to advise on the gear
needed.
The system also needs an internet connection, it plugs straight into your broadband if you have it, or I can arrange a wireless connection to the common house internet if you don't.
I am happy to set up this phone system personally and you can pay me for it, or to set it up under the body corporate and do it that way, depending on whether we prefer the BC to manage it.
Common internet
The common internet is installed, there is a temporary setup
under the network name 'king'. I will change this to Toiora.
The access point is temporarily in the common house window but
needs to be moved to the external black wall above where it is
currently, and the gear in the common house tidied away. I need
to find a longer lead, and also help to bring the cable through
the ceiling space and wall cladding.
At our previous meeting we discussed that use of this access would be covered by the body corp fee so no extra charge for accessing this.
The password is (not what I thought it was) "valleyworkspace"
Thanks,
Alex
