Hi Roz and others,

We appreciate the enthusiasm to get the kitchen going by the time we move in but we would prefer to wait until the project is finished and see how much, if anything, is left of the contingency. Once we know that, we would be in favour of getting as many as can to loan money so that we can get the kitchen completed but do not really mind if we are doing pot luck for a while.

Reluctant to ask at a meeting but would any other units be prepared to join us in making an interest free loan to get kitchen completely organised before move in?
Reasoning: cost of a new kitchen plus enough utensils etc is estimated to be $60k.
This could be reduced by gst refund (love the idea min!!!), juan’s garage sale and left over contingency.
But $60 k shared equally round 24 units is only $2500 per unit. Not every unit owner would be able to take part. Some might lend more some less. Loans could be repaid by adding a dollar to every meal. Would take time but it would give us what we want, now, instead of trying to cope with pot luck meals or cobbling together second hand things.

So can people let us know if they would consider it? don’t need to know how much. Just a straight yes or no. thanks roz and michael
