Well done everyone! Hope the letter boxes are programmed to not accept bills!

When we moved to TM we had to register with nz post to have mail put in our box even tho Tamsin knows us and knew we had moved in. don’t remember this being just for rural delivery. Regds roz

Subject: [Ucol-shareholders] mailboxes, keys, mail, parcels, sign

Hi all

Yesterday Juan, Liz, Anthony, Donald, Anna, Camila, and I installed our 24 mailboxes! Big team effort with hero Juan fetching the right screws for the job to our relief and satisfaction.

We applied temporary numbers since we’re waiting for some of the stickers to be supplied. We also labelled the sets of 3 keys each and put them on the pegboard with the unit keys. There is a fourth copy, which Liz put in the common house for safekeeping.

I have approached NZ Post to register our addresses in their mail delivery database and make local posties aware.

Regarding parcels, if you wish to always leave your parcels in a designated spot, you can inform delivery companies as follows:

I’ve just done so for each of these, instructing:

Go to end of driveway, up the steps, and leave in vestibule

Some of the above companies would install a bar code or ask you to do so, such that couriers can scan it to prove they were there.

We will need to make sure couriers can actually enter the vestibule, so the door is to be unlocked during daytime.

Please note, we have put up unit numbers only; we may want a bigger “25 Alva Street” sign, or just “25” – can the ‘sign’ team take this on board?

Many thanks

Sander
