A brief report from the ad-hoc painting team who came together over March to water-blast then paint the rough-cast walls of the Common House with the pueblo (brown-red) & black (above). The weather was kind & the team spirit good, & in three stages we did the three walls needed (the clothes-line facing wall, Montpellier St facing wall, & the rear wall). We ended up (with Tim's recommendation) buying an electric spray-paint unit for $537 which made the job a lot faster & easier on the rough-cast surface, & will be useful in the future for all our re-painting jobs. Big thanks to all those who participated (Anthony, Sandy, Frances, Jess, Gay, Sara, Anne, Ian, Pauline, Jeffrey, Kathy - hope I haven't missed anyone!). Thanks too to Juan for getting the paint for us from Resene.
