I agree with you Rainer.

Hi all

I just like to make the comment that 'choosing the outside colour' has been on the to do list for more than a year. If it was such a big deal to get it right, we should not have waited till the painters gave us a 3 day deadline.

Pueblo is a lovely name, Ted Daniel chose this colour for his inner city penthouse on the back of the Standard Building (for which he received a heritage restoration award). It is a fresh colour for a fresh & bright neighbourhood.

I am not sure if it is helpful to try to find another two colours and again make everyone go through choosing from 3 or 4 colours. If we want to pick this up again, are we making a consensus decision were every member counts and not only 1 vote per unit?

Are there any other items on the to do list that need urgent attention right now?

regards Rainer

Hi Tim and everyone

I agree about the consensus although am not sure how realistic it is in this situation. Colour affects us all in different ways and for different reasons.

My preference was for Pueblo. This was the case before I visited the site today around 1pm and realized that for me, in C6, in winter especially, my preference remains for a lighter colour.

I looked up pioneer red and couldn't really see much difference from scoria.

Anyway, more food(or paint) for thought.

Kind regards

Pauline

Hi All,

As a group which has tried to form consensus on most if not all our decisions I think we need to do better than a near 50/50 split on this decision.

Having seen how the colours looked on site and having had the chance to hear others thoughts I asked painters to provide a couple of brighter red brick colour samples including pioneer red which is the colour used on the corrugated house down the hill.

Choosing the paint colour is becoming urgent but I think it is more important to consider options carefully and get greater buy in than rushing this.

Tim.

Hi all,

Thanks to all for taking the time to vote on the colours for the cladding.

The colour with more votes is PUEBLO with 9 votes.

8 votes went for SCORIA
4 votes went to "no preference"
3 were blank: 2 people didn't submit their vote and the DCC unit was blank.

Attached is a screenshot of the spreadsheet taken just now.
I am proceeding to inform the Project Manager/Builders about this.

I also want to apologize for the rush procedure as I don't think that this was a good way of proceeding with these kinds of decisions...
Unfortunately, I was just notified on our site meeting on Friday morning that we needed a decision by Monday.
Thanks to Sander for organizing the spreadsheet and thank you all for your effort to express your preferences with such short notice.

We shall see the colour up in some of the walls very soon...

Thanks,
Maria
