Hi everyone, Anne, Gay and I met with Gary Dennis and his family from Auckland’s North Shore where they are planning to develop a cohousing community made up of about 20% os special needs residents. They hope through this to provide ongoing support to children as they grow and also some employment through a commercial side to their project. We answered their questions and certainly wish them well. They have about 6 families at present but we encouraged them to work to increase their base as it is so important that as many future residents as possible contribute to the planning and design process.
Gary very generously gave us 2 bottles of Roaring Meg pinot noir, which we are taking care of until our next social event - perhaps a celebration when both concrete slabs are in place?
