Common House organisation

Hi everyone, The Common House group is keen to make progress with our communal areas and to do that, we need to move things out which are taking up space. We have identified the following as things we do not have a need for: In the main room: 1. The remaining blue sound panels - 4 large plus a number of pieces. (Thank you to all who completed the sound board installation on Sunday.) In the boys’ toilet area 2. Metal shelving 3. Insulated ceiling panels (we plan to keep 4) 4. Wall mounted heaters 5. 1 standing black heater Please indicate if you see a need for any of these things and if so, where they would go. We would like to start getting rid of them from tomorrow. There are also 2 wooden chairs which belong to Claire but which would need glue and screws to make them safe. If anyone can work with Claire to do this work, please let her know soon. The Common House Group has asked for no more donations unless these are cleared by the Group. Please contact Jess. Regards, Frances

Good morning Co-housers, Due to a miscalculation, I have two tickets to the film evening in the Science Festival at the Regent Theatre The Centre for Science Communication Student Film Premiere features six films by students at the centre for Science Communication. Details here: https://scifest.org.nz/programme/scicomm-film-premiere Please note: The time for this event has changed from what is listed in the printed programme. The film premiere begins at 7:30pm. Tickets are for the Stalls - GA. Including fee, these cost $39.00 ($16 x 2 + fees) but you can have them delivered to your door before Wednesday for $30.00. I have just heard from Rory in Property Services that the DCC will be selling their unit. He will come up sometime next week to talk about how that happens. They will be getting an updated market valuation (which will be interesting). I have a list of people who have been to an induction workshop and have expressed recent interest. If you know anyone else who might be interested please let me know. Anne
