Hello all
Anthony and I won’t try to attend the workshop by zoom today. A lot of great work has gone into the agreement - special acknowledgement to Warren - it’s looking good. Basically we support it and don’t have much feedback, just a couple of comments:
The membership section may need some attention. It says Every resident aged 18 years or over, and every non-resident owner, is a member of Toiora Cohousing Group. Then goes on to say that all members are obliged to attend group meetings, participate in working bees etc ‘Resident’ is a new term in these documents - presumably it means the same as the term occupier in the body corp document - ie everyone who lives on the development. So this doesn’t allow for the case of adult children and flatmates who may not contribute directly to these things, as discussed in recent emails. Alex’s suggestion of an overall work quota based on the number of people in the household sounds good to us.
The other comment is about the pets section. We don’t think the statement ‘we welcome pets in our neighbourhood’ is needed. Aside from the fact that some people may not really welcome pets, it’s somewhat at odds with the following statement about a sinking lid policy.
Apologies for the last minute input. Thanks everyone.
Anna and Anthony
