Hi all,
The directors, Maria and Rainer had a Zoom meeting with Stefan Edge today to touch base around what the Level 4 lockdown means for High Street Cohousing.
There is no work on site, obviously, but we are confident that as soon as building sites are allowed to re-open (and that may mean going down to Level 2 rather than Level 3 - we do not know) Stevenson & Williams will be keen to get the build underway again and to complete the project as soon as possible.
There are no supply issues that we are aware of. It is possible that some small elements (like light fittings or tapware) may be delayed or alternatives might need to be considered, but we are not at the stage where these things would hold up the build or are needed immediately.
The directors will ask Stephen Edgeto meet with us in the near future so that we can talk about the bank loan and interest and what delays in completion and settlement might mean.
If any of you are concerned about the effect of current events (particularly regarding Kiwisaver and the sharemarket) on your financial commitment, please talk to the directors about this.
We are in as good a position as we could be - the build has been progressing well. Like the rest of the country, we need to stay home, sit tight, and wait to see how well our current measures can get on top of the COVID19 outbreak. What happens beyond this period is unknown, but at least we are very used to living with uncertainty on this project, and I have no doubt that we will bring it to completion and move in ...... before next winter, please!!
Any concerns you might have, give us a call or send an email. Looking forward to our next Zoom catch up, Anne
Hi all,
Just to clarify, we met with Stefan Box, our Project Manager today. Alex will be in touch with Stephen Edge our banker and there will be some details regarding our insurance discussed with our insurance broker Tina Gillan in due course. But as Anne has written, we are in a strong position at this point to whether the immediate lockdown.
Stay safe and keep well, Catherine

If we ever do this again, let's avoid getting a bank liaison person and a project manager with almost the same names. Please.
