The original idea behind loans from residents for a kitchen was based on straight maths, at that stage we had a quote from southern hospitality plus estimates of the cost of everything else we would need down to tables and chairs and tea spoons.

The total was approx. $60 000. There are 24 units. So approx. $2500 per unit. But I always knew not everyone would want or be able to help out so it was just a starting point for discussions.
