What an inspired idea! Anne could you host if we moved it back to the original Saturday date? I think it would be so much better to have a lived in living room, particularly your lived-in living room. Could Sander set up another one of those RVSP thingies post haste to see if people can still come on a Saturday? With a final decision being made at midnight so we can all get up on Saturday morning to find out where we are going. Nothing like last minute pressure to get people bonding together :-) Is it too late? Or Can we do this? Yes we can!

It was suggested at the meeting last night we all make our feelings known. People know we have moved away from simon milne. Michael got on ok with him but michael just signs things. I do the work and felt I didn't 'bond' with simon too much. Though after 40 years with David polson simon had a hard act to follow. And we did have problems with some things simon did and his lack of speed. We are divided, michael would prefer to stick with helen. I'm not worried either way but would prefer to not use simon if we stay with mcmillan and co. People have been wondering if helen has the support to handle the work we might generate. I question the support she had at mcmillan and co, and this could continue as am assuming helen's support will still be working at mcmillan and co. I joined others in doing a lot of proofing of ucol documents a year or two ago and was shocked at how poorly they were done. This was probably down to the PA but does reflect on helen as it should have been checked and proofed in house not sent out with spelling and grammatical errors and typos and very poor layout. I could do only so much proofing as far as content went but it is easy to imagine there could have been omissions or ordering problems. Regds roz

Hi all, I see that the bodycorp/social meeting is to be on Sunday 26 May - I will not be able to attend, and won't be at home. I had thought that we were looking at Saturday afternoon 25th rather than Sunday. Maybe next time we have a weekend event you can come to our place - Sundays will now be more possible for me. I emailed Ravinder last Friday about the extra legal costs on top of the purchase price for the remaining units, and suggested that he Skype in on 8 June. There has been no response from him as yet, but I will follow up on that, also explaining again that he would need to pay 20% deposit plus $5000 for shares immediately to secure the unit. I will also order 2 extra copies of the "Happy Ever Aftering" book Anne

John Dalgardo is planning to come to the induction workshop. He is now more interested in the 1-bedroom unit. Liz Wilson, who came with Maria a couple of weeks ago, also hopes to come - interested in 1-bedroom Janette Wilcox, who came over from Melbourne at Easter weekend and had a mini-induction at my place on Saturday, is still keen on 1-bedroom unit. For agenda - #8 induction workshop and potential purchasers

Last November Catherine, Maria and I met Ravinder Soin and his wife Upkar at my place for a meal and a mini-induction workshop. They live in Sydney but Rav works regularly in Otago and has fallen in love with Dunedin. There was only a 1bedroom unit available then, but Rav has just noticed that a 2/3 bedroom unit is now available so has been back in touch. He says they have the finance ready to go. I have sent him the organising agreement at his request. I also asked whether they are planning to live in the unit or to rent it at least for a while. (He has asked about renting, and about resale) I have suggested that they Skype in on 8 June. Anna Maxwell and Anthony Doesburg are also interested in D1, are flying down from Auckland for the induction workshop on Saturday 8 June. I had a long conversation with them about a month ago. On Monday 13 May Anne, Sue, Alex and Claire met Ken Pullar and Sue Kim to talk about High Street Cohousing. Both teachers, Ken runs NetNZ which used to be OtagoNet, Sue (who is Korean) teaches at LPHS. Ken particularly is very interested, had read the Cohousing book; Sue probably wants to meet more of us and learn more. We told them that there would be an additional $10,000 (or so) on top of purchase price to cover extra legal expenses. They will come to the induction workshop on Saturday 8 June, and they have already deposited the initial $100 each in our bank account. They are also interested in D1, and are looking forward to meeting more cohousers on Saturday 8 June. My apologies for this Thursday night - I will be returning from Wellington too late to attend.
