Update on foundations design progress

Hi all, A sketch from the engineers has arrived (followed by a large invoice which will have to come our of our contingency). Updates on Foundation

HI all, I spoke with Stefan yesterday. He spoke with Engineers yesterday morning. There was some clarification of “who instructions need to come from”. That has now been clarified. Following that, they have ensured we’ll get the detail we have been waiting for by yesterday/today. As they haven’t sent this yesterday, we are hoping for this to be done today. Once the detailed is received, it will be forwarded to the QS and he will estimate quantities. I’ll send another email as soon as I hear from Stefan. About the soft spot? Not seen anything to suggest there has. Is it feasible to move the whole alva block? Probably not. Could we get rid of the dcc unit and make the block shorter and avoid the soft spot that way? Could alva become an L shape with the soft spot unit at right angles to the others?

Updates from our Project Manager - Site works

Hi all, Just a quick update from my conversation with Stefan Box today. Basically, we are waiting for information we need from the engineers. The QS is ready to finalise the schedule and provide a list of quantities as soon as the engineers provide the information requested. Once we have the quantities from the QS we should be able to calculate the cost of the work. I will follow up on this and provide an update tomorrow as requested. Please check out the To Do list in the Directory of Documents - http://highstreetcohousing.nz/docs/ - and indicate where you will be involved. the list is roughly in order of priority. While you are there, check out the Custom Choices for units and indicate your preferences if you have not already done so. Finalising the bank loan documents expected to be complete by end of January

It came up as an area of concern in our meeting on Thursday that some of the documentation required for our Kiwibank loan had not been accepted by the bank's lawyers yet and they have asked our lawyer for clarifications. However, it appears that the matters are progressing normally, albeit taking longer than we expected. Technically this is an area of risk; if the documents are not clarified/accepted by the end of the month Kiwibank could refuse to lend us the construction loan. Catherine has been dealing with this area for us and reported comments from Helen our lawyer, so the meeting asked Susan to follow up again with Kiwibank and Helen. Susan reports that Stephen Edge from Kiwibank is happy with the progress on these documentation issues, and did not flag any concerns at all. Helen is working her way through the list of items queried by the Kiwibank lawyers. Most items have been sorted quickly by communication between Helen and our individual lawyers. Nothing further is required from us at this stage as the lawyers are sorting it out between themselves. So everything appears to be on track, although the costs of completing this are still unknown.
