When I visited Antony Hamel on Thursday he asked if he could come and speak to us all about the current Dunedin housing market and his take on future trends. He acts for a number of High St cohousers and he knows that many of us are planning to sell our homes before we move into High Street. He said that it would be easier for him to meet us all at once than try to advise us individually.
Any cohouser is welcome to attend, and he is not charging anything for his talk, which he estimates will take about 15 minutes. He stressed that if you are thinking of selling a house in Dunedin before the build is complete, you should come to hear what he has to say.
8pm Thursday 5 September. It would probably be useful for him to know about how many will be there, so if you intend to come, please RVSP to me. Thanks Jan
Hi Jan, This sounds interesting and worthwhile. I will plan to come (though I'll miss book group again, and I've even read the book!) Where will it be held? Anne

Hi all:
I can confirm we have the meeting room for the special meeting on the 5th of September, from 7:30pm onward for a start at 8pm.
For tomorrow, it will be there too. I have reserved it for 2-7pm, to allow for a 3pm start.
Jan/Min: if you want to set up early, you can swing by my place first to pick up my staff card (flat A3, 39 Opoho Rd) since our group’s key hasn’t surfaced yet AFAIK.

Hello, future neighbours Do you happen to know anyone who has type 2 diabetes? I need two or three more people to make my total of five, to interview for linguistic validation of a questionnaire – a fancy professional term that means they fill it out (but their answers are not recorded, nor is their identity) and tell me what they understand each question to mean and whether they think the wording could be improved. There’s a voucher in it for them, and most people who have done this for previous projects have enjoyed it. I go to their place or we meet in a café or somewhere else that is convenient. If we can’t find enough people in Dunedin/Otago, then it can be people elsewhere in NZ as long as they can video chat with me by some means. They must be native speakers of NZ English and can be any age, occupation and sex, but not a health professional. If you know someone, could you please forward this to them, or give them my details? It’s getting urgent now as Diabetes Otago were reluctant to facilitate.
Many thanks! Claire Loftus Language Validation Consultant for Mapi/Icon (There’s a fact sheet available for download here: https://www.iconplc.com/services/commercialisation-and-outcomes/language-ser...)
