For Thursday's agenda: A request for a visit to the site. (see email below)
This would need (1) agreement from Stevenson & Williams and (2) agreement from UCOL shareholders. Does anyone have experience of the OPIA annual bus trip? I presume that viewing from the road (with some explanation from one of us) might be an option without requiring access on to the site - if we wanted to do that.

We won’t be at the meeting this week but our feeling is that if shareholders can’t go on site visitors shouldn’t be allowed to either. And nothing much to see anyway. Regds roz

I've never actually been on one but when I was a member the Property Investers trip was a regular (annual?) occurrence and usually travelled in a bus and looked at new investment builds, trends, and returns on investments. I can't think of a reason for them to need to go on site as information could be easily given from front of bus. Gay

They are welcome to look from the road, and they will be interested in our prices just as we have been interested in prices of commercial developments so that we set a fair/market purchase price for ourselves. Lest they somehow get weird information or impressions, it would probably be best if the information comes from us, but I don’t think it has to be a person ready there to climb on the bus and tell them. It could be on a sheet of paper. The key point is the ‘point of difference’: these properties are not for sale to investors – and a good explanation of why. Also a bit of an architect’s explanation of why terrace housing, why common ground and a common house and the ensuing design considerations and specs that differ from other developments.
Warm greetings to you all from the lush and fruitful Waikato

Talking to the contact person for OPIA, she realised that bare ground is not very interesting and it would be better to put us on the list of potential things to see on the 2020 bus trip, when the project will be nearing completion. She says she will get in touch late in the year about the possibilities in 2020
