Kia ora koutou Min and I have discussed a plan for Gather. First we want to organise a small group workshop (or a few) with those interested, to try things out. We aim for an evening next week or in the weekend, just around my kitchen table with laptops, cookies, and tea. If you're interested, let us know and we can set a day and time. Yes I was hoping it was going to be by the 23rd but I just heard today that there was another holdup with the fire alarm system. Now we need new alarms need to be installed in every unit, (or another change to the documentation,) and that will push out consent again. I have no idea when the electricians can do that, but assuming this week, it looks more like settlement will be pushed into May. the latest commonhouse group meeting

Kia ora koutou, The meetings of our latest commonhouse group meeting are attached for those interested. Firstly, anyone wishing to claim a piece of commonhouse furniture should label it as theirs (and preferably move it out) by the 23rd April (end of this week). So far these items have been asked for: guestrooms - 2x wardrobe cupboards Tim - big blue bench Catherine - 2x pink wardrobe cupboards for the commonhouse - 2x Rosemarie's lightweight trestle tables (unless they are for kitchen? Or Anne if you wanted a working space in the office?) 2x round tables white square cubbyhole unit any leftover wardrobe cupboards (Susan and Claire you're welcome to one each but be sure to label them so we know you definitely want them) a low long cupboard The guest rooms each need a heater in them so if anyone has one spare and are happy to give it over, please let Sara or Karen know. Sara has offered to get rid of the metal shelving and take it to Everitt Enterprises on Friday, and would like access to a trailer and possibly a car with a tow bar? (Sara please confirm that!), She will need a bit of help to load up the shelving and brackets as they are sharp, cumbersome and heavy, so anyone available please let Sara know. Also I'll let Sara set a time for when she wants to do this (so there will be some more information to come). Finally, we noticed that there was painting tape in the corridor of the commonhouse, and that this seemed new. Is someone painting in the commonhouse, and if so, who? And how much/what are they doing? Thanks everyone! Jess

Common House Cleaning Roster

Hi all. As mentioned in the last meeting there is need for common house cleaning to occur so as not to undo the good of Chemdry’s efforts on the carpet. For starters we should see if vacuuming the floors of the common area 2 times weekly is enough.This would take about half an hour. There are also 2 toilet areas but I do not know if these are used currently but will be in future. I am looking for 7 other people so that your cleaning efforts would only be needed about once a month. Look forward to hearing from any volunteers so that I can draw up a roster. Regards Sandy

Cardboard collection

HI all who have moved in, If anyone has cardboard that needs to be recycled, I can pick it up around noon* tomorrow. I'll bring my truck in the main entrance by the workshop for loading. *noon - time may vary but that's what I'm aiming for. Cheers Warren
