Hi All,
Further to our conversation at the last meeting regarding numbering of the
homes at High St, here is the response from the guy we are dealing with at
the DCC:
"I have just gone through the Addressing Standards we have to use and I
don’t see how using a letter to identify a building is allowed. So as best
I can see you are stuck with numbers only.
If the site is clearly addressed the building shouldn’t be an issue."
I can't be at the meeting tonight but hopefully this sheds some …

what our options are.

I’m not doing two things at once andean also report that Zealsteel uplifted the sections of fence yesterday, and that they came out nice and easy…
May that continue.
I sent this to chat and it bounced. Anyone else having problems with chat?
Thanks roz

Subject: body corp rules and what can happen if you ignore them
It has been discussed before "what happens if you ignore the body corp
rules". Haven't yet read this whole thing but seems there are …
[View More]threats to
take some owners breaking rules to court or the tenancy tribunal.
Interesting.

Catherine asked me to set up some searches on Trademe for complete
commercial kitchens. The results are below/attached.
For those who don't have time for emails my recommendations are:
* We create a further committee to decide the layout/appliances etc
and fine tune the pricing attached and
* we wait until closer to completion to see if we can actually afford
to do a complete commercial kitchen or need other ideas.
At the moment seems our choices are as follows:
* Rely on having meals as …
[View More]pot luck
* Install minimum commercial kitchen
* Install a final commercial kitchen
* Install a second hand domestic kitchen and replace later
So far have not been able to clarify how complete the actual room will be
when settlement arrives. Additional costs could come from:
* Insulation/lining/plastering/decorating/plumbing/wiring/flooring etc
etc
I have been watching Trademe under different searches since Catherine asked
me to, have also checked with businesses specialising in commercial
kitchens. Conclusions are:
* There is no such thing as a complete commercial kitchen, commercial
kitchens come as components chosen to suit room/need etc. This means if we
can afford a commercial kitchen straight away we need to work out what we
want in it.
* There are plenty of complete domestic kitchens available second hand
if we find ourselves with some money but not sufficient for a permanent
solution.
I have tried to make up a list based on our kitchen, lists off the internet
and the artist's impression off the UCOL plan. Have included the appliances
(larger) from the work done by Frances and Nancy (apologies if anyone else
helped and not mentioned). FYI Nisbets, who deal in commercial kitchens, say
on their website if a proper commercial dishwasher is used there is no need
for a steriliser. Prices are off the internet, off Trademe and most of the
smaller items were priced from Briscoes website. Remembering anything you
can buy at Briscoes is almost bound to come up in a 60% off sale sooner or
later. I didn't shop around for cheaper prices, we need to know what we want
before we can do that.
Cost estimates are:
* Appliances and benches etc approximately $28000
* Smaller items approximately $12000
* Plus any extras (see above) that may be needed to finish the actual
room
* Additional cost could be freight/collection costs
We are planning to come to the next meeting but it is too early, in my
opinion, to do much apart from a layout for the final kitchen until we see
how much contingency is left. So next meeting this could go on the agenda
for brief discussion and to see if anyone wants to take it further. Regds
