If all units are numbered at boxes in alva st an emergency vehicle could go right past. So maybe different street addresses would be good? not all alva. Emergency services do like someone to stand out on the road giving directions. Is it still the case that no vehicles, including emergency services, can access the common ground behind the H and A blocks? So in most cases going to the letter boxes would be a waste of time. Our brigade used to do recces on practice nights, if there was some change at an address we would ask if we could go and have a look around. find best access and water points and it made a change from the usual practice. As part of my research study, I wish to conduct interviews to increase my understanding of how affordability issues are perceived and addressed by organisations which play a key role in shaping the housing market. Therefore, I wonder if you would be interested in participating. The interview will be a semi-structured and recorded one. I will discuss with you whether you wish the interview to be kept confidential. After the interview, I will send a reviewable transcript in order to avoid any inaccuracies. At this stage, I need to obtain internal validation from our Human Ethics Committee. The interviews will hopefully start taking place during first half-year 2020. Site meeting 22.11.19

Hi all High street block: The roof is on apart from ridging and flashings. Most of the windows are in also. The first battens are on at the west end of the block for the outside cladding. The electrician is installing the cables for the fire alarms throughout. Alva Street Block: The first two floors are on and they are working on the third unit’s floor framing. General: The tent is booked to come down after next week. RFIs (request for information) are coming in from Stevenson&Williams, mainly regarding details, especially in conjunction with sub-contractor’s questions. S&W stressed that we need to respond promptly to avoid delays. We have organized for the roof shout for 29th November 10 am. Details later. Stevenson&Williams specifically requested that anyone wanting to visit the site needs to contact Bill the foreman first. There should be no reason for anyone to visit without talking to the PCG first. We suggested to have several site visits for UCOL the week 9th to 14th. December. We need to organize specific time and dates at next week’s UCOL meeting. Saturday the 14th at 9 am has been booked with Bill already. Early bird visit for the Saturday people. Tile Flooring - quantities

Hi All Cohousers!! hope you are enjoying this ever changing weather in Dunedin!! Anyway, as per my "offer to help" on the last meeting re tiles I have done a quick calculation on "just flooring" tiles for those listed on the shared plans on our link (btw , thanks Sander and others for the beautifully crafted place / info & spreadsheets to share to all) . So, within "Custom Choices" I have created a new spreadsheet for "tiles / flooring" . - and note, I just done flooring, because I noticed for example Gay in M3 has walls as well , but I am leaving walls for later in case more on this is needed. As it was nicely said by Rainer , it is mainly D Units + M3 that requires tiles in a few wet areas. I will list the calculations I have done below -but remember these are in the spreadsheet mentioned above : UNITS D1-D6 : Toilet @ entry level = approx. 1.2m2 ( if you are using 250mmx250mm tiles = 24 tiles) - D1 is a little bit bigger but doesn't make much difference Laundry @ 1st level of the D Unit = approx. 1.4m2 ( if you are using 250mmx250mm tiles = 24 tiles) Bathroom @ 1st level of D Unit = approx. 2.6m2 ( if you are using 250mmx250mm tiles = 48 tiles) TOTAL tiles ( if using 250x250mm) = 96 + 10% waste = 106 tiles or 5.2m2 + 0.52 = 5.75m2 M3 Unit Bathroom & Laundry ( @ Grd. Fl) = 6.4m2 ( 120 tiles if using 250x250mm tile) Now; to note, I haven't read the minutes yet and my assumptions may be incorrect. Also , we got together with Jan Burch to start giving some shape to the "JOB SHARING pre- Moving to Cohousing" and we started a spreadsheet , we can talk about this later on and on the next meeting.
