Kia ora Toiora Lots of lovely attachments for you tonight: - Report from admin group - please read before the meeting. - Notes from Alex outlining early access options - please read before the meeting. - Draft agenda for this week's meeting on Thurs 11 Feb (don't these meetings roll around quickly!) to be held at the Sustainability Centre. - Final notes from the meeting held Thurs 4 Feb. These will look very familiar because there were no changes sent to me, so I've just renamed and recycled the draft sent to you earlier I'll endeavour to get a final agenda out for the 11th Feb on Thursday by lunchtime. If anyone would like me to print off a hard copy for them to have at the meeting, just let me know. My plan is to continue to celebrate my new "one year trial of retirement" by getting there by 7.10pm to open up and grab a quiet cup of tea before the meeting starts. Anyone who can bear my smugness about no longer always running late for evening meetings is welcome to join me at the earlier time. Looking forward to seeing all you wonderful cohousers on Thursday. Whooooa! Frances and Nancy did the plans, I got prices but that was the end of my role. Setting up a kitchen? Moi??? Rainer explained to me I was to get prices and work with SH then hand over to bcg to take it from there. which I did, and recorded. End of my role. Good luck with the next stage, can see there could be a gap there. given a list I could totter round briscoes and fill a trolley but that would be better trusted to someone who can actually cook! It struck me that there may be an expectation that this group will also be involved in setting up and equipping the kitchen, a task which Roz has been working on (with Tim and Rainer) for a while, and which I believe she passed over to the BCG recently. I am very happy for the BCG to handle that part of things, but if that is not what they see as their task, we (the shared meals workgroup) need to know that we may be taking it on. And we would need to know what has been done and what is yet to be done. Tonight I see us focusing on the shared meals and how we might establish some patterns and rosters around that, so I don't need detailed info, but would appreciate a steer on how far others see our brief extending. Hi Anne and all I’d love to be involved in the cooking group but have no time for it at the moment, but am happy to read what you are up to. Regarding the kitchen fit out. Thank you Roz for getting the extensive list of prices from Southern Hospitality. It is very useful and we still use it. The BCG/UCOL committed following money from contingency: The kitchen will have a vinyl floor (installed already), has gas, electricity, and plumbing where we need it, will be painted with top coat. We have ordered a 900 wide F&P gas stove/electric oven and a 1200 wide domestic range hood, which S&W will install (provided they arrive in time). We will build the servery bench out of old school doors. The BCG has earmarked money from contingency for the following as stage 2: about $10,000 for a wash station incl sink and commercial ‘pass through’ dish washer. We may also want a central workbench for about $2,000. There are about $30,000 more needed to complete the kitchen and we need tables and chairs and crockery.... The admin group is meeting at Min's house at 7.30 tonight (Sunday). The main agenda item will be early access arrangements. All are welcome but please RSVP because space is limited. I added Kathy Lane to the list and the chat list. She will be flatting with me. She was at the most recent induction and membership discussion. I've also added Kristin Jack on as a separate email address from Susan as requested.

Have had some feedback. Didn't realise the 30 minutes at the next meeting was for the final discussions. Let's see if we can make that happen! Ok I had three things: pets, parking and commitment Pets: sounds as if a tweak of the wording so people can't say 'oh well I always intended to have a pet'? Parking: the way the wording is now if we do what we plan and get a park in the yard and seldom use it every 48 hours we need to go and move it. bags I get to be parking warden and have chalk! Commitment: initially think the wording was that we all had to help with everything? And definitely the wording about meals was something like eating en masse was voluntary but everyone had to help prepare meals. So all the stuff about everyone having to commit to do something, apart from attend meetings, and to pay if opting out has disappeared? That ain't gonna work! Regds roz

Thought I had sent this to warren but not heard back. One or two things above the green line we were concerned about. maybe other people have agreed to this, of which we are unaware, but just to confirm: 1.Resident members are to attend Group meetings and koha time to one or more of the following: * Participating in Work Groups. * Contributing to community working bees. * Helping prepare shared meals. So the above means residents must attend meetings but the obligation to help prepare meals, be in work groups and go to working bees had been changed so all residents need to do is go to group meetings and put in time to one of the others? (meals or groups or working bees) 2. pets. (again, ad nauseum, I know) We welcome current (intended and actual) pets in our neighbourhood. This was worded like this to allow sue to have her kitten when it is available. But someone else can simply say they 'intended' to have a pet and that is fine. 3. Remaining spaces are for resident and visitor short-term parking (< 48 hours). All parking within the gates has a maximum of 48 hours. We think the intention was Remaining spaces are for residents; or for visitor parking of less than 48 hours Thanks roz and michael

Sauna installed

Hi all Item 46 and 47 of the to do list is done (bar the electric connection, though the cable is already laid to the heater). Thank you to all the helpers this morning. Other than Warren and Sara it was a completely different team (but just as confident!) than last week, when we dismantled the sauna and moved it to Toiora. The bike shed next?? Hi folks I'm very happy to have any additions/deletions/changes sent to me for the attached notes from Thursday's meeting. In addition I've attached the notes from the previous week, which I had sent out as final, but it was pointed out to me on Thursday that I'd inadvertently put the wrong heading at the top. So here they are, final notes, with the content still unchanged from the previous version, but this time it has a heading Notes rather than "draft agenda". Any items for next week's agenda also gratefully received. Thanks Jan
