handover of c/h kitchen to bcg

Have forgotten who is on the bcg but time this moved to them. hopefully soon the kitchen installation can be looked at again. In the end we finished up needing about 60k for kitchen from southern hospitality, domestic stove, changes to benches to accommodate stove and the relocating of the hand washing sink, plus painting and vinyl. Some of the prices for these need confirmation. In addition the cost of a basic fit out briscoes style I estimated to be around 11k. so a total of about 71k. Despite what people have said this was a reasonably easy task. Frances and Nancy had spent a lot of time doing the plans so all it took was some research to find the right kind of supplier. Sorted! As you know I very quickly had reservations about the man at SH and rainer soon felt the same. Interesting I think that we are waving more than 40k in sales in front of him and have never had the sales type follow up you would expect. We all look forward to seeing what bcg can make of this and what, if any, contingency is left for it. the bcg will remember I did a very basic survey and there were plenty of promises of financial help, probably in the way of interest free loans, from members so we can just have a kitchen soon. How to include Toiora Cohousing Agreement in future sales.

Roz makes a good point. I suggest we add an appendix to the Toiora Cohousing Agreement with a sample further terms of sale to be added to future sale and purchase agreements. So people can copy and paste, and give it to their real estate agents to include in future agreements. Also it would be helpful to have some procedure that would remind people to do this when they are considering selling. Are we going to have a marketing group? It might be there job. In light of our decisions last night, it makes sense to review the Toiora Cohousing Agreement. For example, the first paragraph in that agreement is: "This Agreement is binding on all members of the Toiora High Street Cohousing Community. This is in accordance with the Agreement to Enter a Covenant and Deed of Covenant signed by current purchasers and is a Condition of Sale for subsequent purchasers." That is inconsistent with the decisions we made last night. I prefer if we can keep our agreements simple and consistent, but actually we have a lot of work to do if we want that. I really like being proudly cohousing. I understood from the Stephen Edge letter it is reference to cohousing in the legal document which is the sticking point, not the name. If I am correct there would be no need to change the name. Can someone in direct communication with him ask for a yes/no response to use of cohousing in our name? There were volunteers at the end of last year, and I said I would convene is, but I have now forgotten who the interested people were. This is the information given by Westpac when our application was refused. Not clear from that whether the documents discussed last night were the problem but we will resubmit as soon as the confirmation is available. Regds roz After a full review of this application and taking into account all the information provided, we're unable to assist with this request. The application does not meet Westpac's current lending criteria due to: * Other - to purchase a unit in the High Street Cohousing Project, Montpellier Street Dunedin. Unfortunately this security is not classed as standard residential and is unacceptable for security.
